Dr Darryl Jones is Senior Lecturer in English and Fellow of Trinity College Dublin, where he runs the MPhil Programme in Popular Literature.  He is authorof four books, including 'Horror: A Thematic History in Fiction and Film' (2002), 'Jane Austen (2004) and most recently he edited the collection of essays, 'Reinventing Emmet: Essays on the Life and Legacy of Robert Emmet' (2007).
