David Mc Williams ' book The Pope's Children was the best selling Irish non-fiction book in 2006, spending 52 consecutive weeks in the top five of the bestsellers. To date it has sold close to 100,000 copies. Described by the Sunday Tribune as 'the definitive guide to the Ireland we live in' the book has been followed by The Generation Game and Follow the Money.The Pope's Children are turning 30 and in the four years since David McWilliams introduced us to the generation that could have had it all, the Pope's Children have been betrayed. Follow the Money is about real people and how good people can be broken by bad economics. But it doesn't have to be like this, David believes that here is a way out.
David writes two weekly opinion columns, one in the Irish Independent and the other in the Sunday Business Post.
He has been a regular on Irish television and radio since his award winning 'Agenda' current affairs programme began on TV3 in 2000.
