The next Ennis Book Club Festival takes place from
6^th - 8^th March 2009

Thank you to our authors, speakers, festival goers and volunteers for making the 2008 event a great success. Thanks also to the people of Ennis for the welcome they extended to all our visitors. Festival authors and speakers included Joanne Harris, Roddy Doyle, Neven Maguire, Diarmuid Gavin, Hugo Hamilton, Dermot Bolger, Nuala O Faolain, Brian Keenan, Fintan O'Toole, Mary O'Donnell, Theo Dorgan, Lorna Landvik and many more. The Ennis Book Club Festival is a great social and literary gathering for book club members and readers from Ireland and beyond. Supported by Clare County Library, the festival is designed with the reader in mind. We invite Book Clubs and Book Lovers to Ennis in 2009 to share a joy of reading and have a weekend break with friends in one of Ireland’s most beautiful towns. 

The programme will include author readings, discussions, workshops, walking tours, advice on organising book clubs and reading lists, chocolate tastings, events as Gaeilge, cookery demos and opportunities to meet other Book Club members. Tickets for events will be available in early January 2009.
