Kevin Barry's new collection of stories, Dark Lies The Island, is published this spring. His acclaimed novel, City Of Bohane, appeared in 2011, while his debut collection of stories, There Are Little Kingdoms, was published in 2007 and awarded the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature. His stories have appeared in the New Yorker, the Granta Book of the Irish Short Story, Best European Fiction, and many other journals and anthologies. He also works on screenplays, plays, graphic stories and essays. A native of Limerick, he now lives in Co Sligo.
