Sean Spellissy is a well-respected local historian. He lived in Ennis for many years but has now moved across the border to County Galway. He is the author of Clare County of Contrast; Limerick in Old Photographs; A History of County Clare and many, many more.

He was recently involved in writing the text for the Ennis Town Walking Trail display boards which you will see as you go through town.
